-
Location: Amsterdam Training Center H.J.E. Wenckebachweg 6, V5 1096 AN Amsterdam
-
By Public Transport: The camp is walking distance to the Spaklerweg Metro stop. You can get a travel card at any metro station.
-
By Car: Parking is available in front of Amsterdam Training Center
-
By Bike: the fastest and cheapest way to get around Amsterdam is usually by bike. Just make sure to always lock it to a bike rack. If you lock it to something else that isn't a bike rack or bike parking the city might remove it.
-
Bikes are the fastest way around Amsterdam, and are a joy to ride in nice weather.

Use Google Maps/download an offline map of Amsterdam to save on data

-
-
We will have a WhatsApp group so we can communicate with all the camp members, for anyone can ask questions, find each other, etc. Send a WhatsApp to Emad at +31 6 87 131290 to add you to the Amsterdam Jiu Jitsu WhatsApp group once you have purchased your ticket.

-
Use Google Maps to find good Thai, Indian, Dutch, etc

TripAdvisor has many good recommendations. Here are a few of our favorites:
-
Rijksmuseum: the Louvre of Amsterdam

Escape Room "Sherlocked": really fun escape room next to the Dam
-
Van Gogh Museum: Van Gogh's story in his art
-
Palace on Dam Square: beautiful building previously taken over by Napolean II

In light of global COVID protocols in place, we want anyone who books their place at the camp and is flying into the Netherlands to be prepared and assured that things will run smoothly for their transit in and out of the country. Referencing the official Netherlands government website: "From 23 March 2022 people travelling to the Netherlands from outside the EU/Schengen area no longer need to show a negative test result."
When returning to your home country, we recommend visiting the official government website of your jurisdiction to make sure you understand protocols to return to your homeland from the Netherlands. For example, United States citizens require a negative covid test within 24 hours of departure from the Netherlands. Based on our research and friends of ours who have visited in recent months, these tests are very readily and widely available all over the Amsterdam city center and they are free of charge. If you plan on flying in from the United States we recommend earmarking a pocket of time on the last day of your trip to complete your test.
Travel within the EU and other non-US countries may have different rules for re-entry, please check with your governments website to confirm.
We are not responsible for any missed flights or altered travel plans due to misunderstandings of your countries protocols.
Notice: tickets are non-refundable
